Toronto twitt-a-gate

As you make your way through the installation, a plethora of yellow gates emerges reminiscent of architectural styles from around the world. The rectangle is for the Greeks and the arch for the Romans. The steps refer to the Mayans, the sharp-pointed arch to Gothic architecture and post-mod - ern is present in a combination of shapes. The gates are outlines of structures we all have encountered. And of the history we share, the kinship of the settings we live in. The gateway is a short trip bridging the gap between the digital, tangible and audible ecumenically shared ex - periences of when, what and where that which we call home is. Made from yellow painted timber the installation is meant to be seen from afar and beckon you to interact.
